Still Spirits Distiller’s Range Rum yeast is a specialist active dried Rum distiller’s yeast. This strain produces an optimum congener profile for full-flavored, smooth, and rounded rum spirit. Ideal for fermentation of sugar, treacle, molasses, or sugar cane juice for distillation of Rum spirit using the Turbo 500 Boiler or Grainfather Brewing System with the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top and Copper Condenser. For a less refined result, the Stainless Steel T500 Reflux Condenser or Copper T500 Reflux Condenser can be used, if the ceramic saddles are removed, instead of using the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top and Copper Condenser.
The Still Spirits Distiller’s Range is designed with craft distillers in mind, these products enable you to design recipes with more freedom and creativity compared to pre-blended ingredients. For dark rum, Distiller’s Rum yeast should be paired with Nutrients for Dark Spirits and Glucoamylase Enzyme for best results. For tequila production, this yeast should be paired with Nutrients for Dark Spirits.
